The leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has refuted the claim that Iran has cut off its “proxy forces” in the area. He said that the Islamic Republic does not have or need these forces to reach its goals.

On Sunday, the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (SA), had her birthday. He said these things while talking with a group of religious eulogists.

The leader said that the armed protesters in Yemen and other groups, like Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Palestine, are fighting because they believe in God.

“They (the enemies) keep saying that the Islamic Republic has lost its Middle Eastern allies—this is yet another mistake! Asad Khamenei said, “The Islamic Republic does not have any proxy forces.”

According to him, those who fight in the resistance “fight because of their convictions, not on our behalf.”

Also, he said that Iran would not need a proxy group to act if it ever decided to do so.

In terms of what was happening in Syria, the leader saw a “strong and honourable establishment” coming together.

He also said that the US plan to take over other countries includes either setting up a dictatorship or starting protests and chaos. This is what is happening in Syria.

“The Americans, the Zionist regime, and their allies wrongly believe they have won, which makes them say ridiculous things,” he said, referring to comments made by a US official that seemed to promise help to anyone in Iran who caused trouble.

The Iranian people will trample underfoot anyone acting as a hired gun for the US in this matter.
