KUALA TERENGGANU – In the State Legislative Assembly, Che Alias Hamid, a former member of parliament for Kemaman, has been selected to the Senate to represent the State of Terengganu.

This appointment completes the state leadership at the federal level.

Born on June 2, 1966, in Kampung Semayor, Kemasik, Che Alias is married to Rashidah Awang, a man with extensive experience in a variety of industries. They have seven children.

Che Alias has been running for office since 1999, and he won the Kemaman parliamentary seat in the 14th general election.

He received two awards for his community service: the Setia Mahkota Terengganu (S.M.T.) in 2022 and the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K.) in 2002.

He declared his intention to continue fighting for the interests of Terengganu and the welfare of its citizens.

In my opinion, handling this appointment with complete accountability is crucial.

He declared, “With God’s grace, I will try my hardest to bring the hopes and dreams of the people of Terengganu to the Senate level.”

During the Third Meeting of the Second Term of the Fifteenth State Legislative Assembly at Wisma Yesterday, after the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Session, Darul Iman made this statement to the media.

As a senator from the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly, he emphasized how crucial it is to coordinate federal and state planning in order to guarantee more balanced growth, particularly between the East and West Coasts.

As previously mentioned, the inhabitants of Terengganu anticipate success and happiness in a number of areas, such as settlement, price of living, and economic interests.

However, the state government cannot fully implement any of these issues without tight coordination with the federal government.

Therefore, maintaining a balance between the duties of the federal and state governments is crucial. An appointed senator, I must defend Terengganu’s interests.

He clarified, “The full realization of the aspirations, ambitions, and hopes of our state’s citizens requires the strong support of the Federal Government.”

Since Terengganu is also a part of Malaysia, Alias emphasized that the federal government should not overlook the interests and development that require coordinated attention.

He is committed to drawing the Dewan Negara’s attention to the significant concerns facing the people of Terengganu as a seasoned political figure.

As the Terengganu representative, I must ensure that the leadership hears and implements the people’s wishes.

“One of the primary concerns is the long-standing and frequently expressed demand for oil royalties by the YAB Menteri Besar, which also expresses dissatisfaction with the Federal Government’s stance,” he stated.

In a federal system, Alias added, cases like these shouldn’t occur where the Federation is tasked with supporting the Terengganu Government, particularly when it comes to state rights that ought to be upheld and enforced.
