KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Siti Saleha was recognized at the Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2024 earlier today.

The 34-year-old artist received the ‘Outstanding Asian Star – Malaysia’ award for her performance in the Tonton Original Series, ‘SeOfis,’ which debuted in January. In the series, she portrays Sam, an entrepreneur sharing her workspace with two other women, played by Nadiya Nisaa and Nadia Aqilah.

“I hope this recognition allows me to expand my horizons in acting. If an opportunity arises for a larger platform, I’m ready for it,” she stated.

However, Siti Saleha emphasized that she wouldn’t be leaving Malaysia or the local entertainment industry behind. “After all, Malaysia is my home,” she remarked.

She credited her success to her fans, who have supported her from the beginning, and expressed her hope that this award would inspire other Malaysian actors to pursue their dreams and seek international recognition.

In addition to Siti Saleha, six other personalities received similar accolades under the International Invitation Categories, including Wooseok Byeon (South Korea), Hyeyoon Kim (South Korea), Desmond Tan (Singapore), Ochi Rosdiana (Indonesia), Metawin Opas-Iamkajorn (Thailand), and Kim Chiu (the Philippines).

The awards ceremony took place today at Yeouido KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea.
