Cops are looking for four suspects in the goldsmith robbery at Sungai Petani
SUNGAI PETANI: Four male suspects are being sought by police in connection with the Thursday (June 27) goldsmith shop heist at a Bakar Arang shopping centre.
The incident was reported to the Kuala Muda District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, according to Kuala Muda police chief ACP Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail.
He said in a statement on Thursday (June 27) that “investigations at the scene found that three masked suspects who were also wearing gloves approached two female employees in the premises. Another suspect waited in a white Myvi car.”
According to him, the suspects made off with a number of jewellery items, and the exact value of their losses is still unknown.
“No injuries to victims were reported.” The Kedah Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) forensic team and K9 unit also support the inquiry.”
According to Penal Code Sections 395 and 397, the case is being looked into.
