Applications for RM15 million Creative Content Fund to open on November 16
PUTRAJAYA: Applications for the RM15 million Creative Content Fund (DKK), covering six categories under the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), will open on November 16, said Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.
He said the fund aims to create opportunities for emerging talent, expand international collaborations, provide veteran artistes with opportunities to continue producing creative works, and encourage the development of new content formats such as micro-dramas to meet the demands of the digital market.
The six categories are the International Co-Production Fund for Feature Films/Animated Feature Films; First Time Amateur Film Maker (FAME) Fund; TV Programme Co-Production Fund (Supertelefilms); Micro-Drama Co-Production Fund (Broadcasting Stations/OTT Platforms); Veteran Artistes Supertelefilm (STAR) Fund; and National Public Service Announcement (PSA) Production Fund.
“We encourage everyone to seize this opportunity and submit their applications,” he said at a press conference during the grand finale of the Anugerah Seri Angkasa 2026 (ASA2026) here on Saturday.
Also present were Communications Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Chief Executive Officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, and Director-General of Broadcasting Datuk Ashwad Ismail.
Fahmi said applications could be submitted online through the Creative Industry Management and Monitoring System (SPPIK) at https://sppik.finas.my beginning November 16.
“Eligible industry players are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, subject to the stipulated terms and regulations,” he said.
He added that the MADANI Government, through the Communications Ministry, would continue strengthening the creative industry ecosystem by providing financing facilities, creating opportunities for emerging talent, and encouraging the production of high-quality, competitive local content.
Further information on eligibility requirements, guidelines and application procedures will be announced through FINAS’ official website and social media platforms.
