Melaka State Election: PAS Unafraid to Use Moon Logo, Ummah Unity Will Defeat PH – Sanusi

KOTA BHARU: PAS Election Director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor revealed that the party is prepared to use its moon logo in the Melaka State Election if Perikatan Nasional (PN) is not allowed to contest under its own symbol on November 14.

He said PAS was not afraid to use its moon symbol as the party had no issues doing so.

“The use of the PAS logo is to ensure that the ummah unity agenda continues in our efforts to challenge Pakatan Harapan (PH),” he said.

He made the remarks while delivering a speech at the Ummah Unity Gathering and Prayer Assembly (Himpak), held in conjunction with the 36 Years of Developing with Islam (BMI) People’s Carnival at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium here on Friday.

According to him, the court’s decision to grant a stay on the cancellation has allowed PN to continue operating as a legitimate coalition.

The Kedah Menteri Besar said supporters of the ummah unity agenda nationwide wanted the cooperation to continue regardless of the symbol used in the election.

He explained that cooperation based on ummah unity had previously proven capable of defeating PH and expressed confidence that the same approach could produce similar results in Melaka.

“Our cooperation under the banner of ummah unity will bring down PH.

“All this will lead us into the 16th General Election as the government-in-waiting at the federal level,” he said.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Sanusi urged supporters to intensify their election preparations and not be easily influenced by the government’s political promises.

He also alleged that the current government had failed to fulfil many of its promises to the people, while describing various weaknesses in the country’s administration as reasons for voters to seek change in the upcoming elections.
