‘If Perkeso Claims Are Delayed, Complain Directly To Me’

KUALA LUMPUR: Contributors facing issues of delayed claims, complications or obstruction due to bureaucracy have been urged to channel their complaints directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso).

Datuk Seri Dr. Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed said he would not compromise with any Perkeso officer who deliberately delays the affairs of contributors who are eligible to receive benefits.

He said contributors experiencing such problems can submit their complaints directly to him so that immediate action can be taken.

“Anyone who has problems, officers delaying, slowing down, complicating or creating bureaucracy, email me directly.

“I will not compromise with officers who delay, slow down or create bureaucracy if the contributor is eligible,” he said in a special press conference at Menara Perkeso here today.

Mohammed Azman said this when commenting on allegations by some parties that the Perkeso benefit claim process takes a long time and makes it difficult for contributors.

According to him, Perkeso does not merely wait for contributors or heirs to come forward to make claims, but also takes a proactive approach to identify individuals eligible for assistance.

He said the Perkeso Prihatin Squad nationwide monitors media reports, police information and relevant sources to identify accidents, injuries or deaths involving contributors.

“We have the Prihatin Squad nationwide to assist those who experience accidents, injuries or deaths,” he said.
