Corruption : CEO Of Malaysia Stadium Corporation Charged This Morning

KUALA LUMPUR : The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Malaysia Stadium Corporation (PSM) will be charged in connection with a case of soliciting and accepting bribes, at the Sessions Court here this morning.

Iliyas Jamil, 42, who was wearing a dark blue coat, arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex (KMKL) accompanied by two officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) moments ago.

The charges against Iliyas will be heard before Sessions Court Judge Suzana Hussin at 9 o’clock this morning.

Previously, MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman was reported as saying that the CEO of a statutory body suspected of being involved in a corruption case involving approximately RM1 million, would be charged at the Sessions Court here.

He said the individual in question would face seven charges, namely one charge of soliciting gratification and six charges of accepting gratification amounting to a total value of RM450,000 through six transactions.
