KUALA LUMPUR — Teluk Cempedak Beach in Kuantan is set to come alive with the upcoming Kuantan Water Music Festival, which is expected to draw large crowds next month.

The festival is among the events listed under the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign calendar, organised by Tourism Malaysia under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, in collaboration with the Kuantan City Council.

According to organising spokesperson Jazri Danish in a media statement today, the three-day festival will take place from May 1 to May 3.

Among the highlights are a beach football tournament, water games, beach volleyball, beach cycling, coconut beach bowling and a fire performance at night.

Visitors will also be able to take part in several activities, all of which are open to the public free of charge.

In addition, festival-goers can relax with their families while enjoying a variety of food and beverages available at stalls along Teluk Cempedak Beach.

Organisers are expecting some 100,000 visitors for the inaugural edition of the festival, which coincides with the long weekend in conjunction with Labour Day.

Members of the public, especially those from states along the East Coast, are encouraged to attend and join in the celebrations.
