Amanah Youth a Shield Against Slander, Must Lead the Young Generation — Adly Zahari

SEMENYIH — Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Vice-President Datuk Adly Zahari has called on the party’s youth members to become the frontline in countering slander and misinformation that could harm the nation’s prosperity.

Speaking at the Amanah Youth National Convention 2025 held at C360, Setia Ecohill, Semenyih, Adly who also serves as the Deputy Minister of Defence stressed the vital role of Amanah Youth in defending the truth and promoting healthy discourse on social media.

“Amanah Youth must continue to strengthen their abilities and capabilities. I believe the bright future of Amanah lies in its youth,” he said.

He also highlighted that one of the major challenges today is the spread of false information and slander, which, if believed, could negatively impact national prosperity.

“Amanah Youth must play an active role in ensuring that accurate information is shared and that the nation’s well-being is not disrupted by fake news,” he added.

According to Adly, one of the strengths of Amanah Youth lies in their ability to make a meaningful impact through forums and debates — efforts aimed at uncovering and upholding the truth based on facts and data related to Malaysia Madani initiatives to advance the nation.

The convention, which gathered about 450 Amanah Youth delegates from across the country, served as a platform for reflection and discussion to strengthen the organisation’s work and direction.

Also in attendance were representatives from allied youth wings such as Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK), DAPSY, WARDA, AWAN, and several NGOs.

Adding to the occasion’s significance was the presence of the Special Envoy and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Malaysia, Mr. Radamés Jesús Gómez Azuaje, who joined in celebrating the annual Amanah Youth convention.
