KUANTAN, Oct 11 :The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has called on developers to ensure that all housing projects in the state are built with high quality and completed within the stipulated timeframe, stressing that delays and poor workmanship burden both developers and homebuyers.
His Royal Highness said developers must uphold integrity and responsibility in delivering homes that meet the needs and comfort of families.
“Substandard homes are unacceptable as they amount to deceit. Houses must be built with quality and provide adequate space for families. WiFi and solar facilities also add value to housing projects,” he said.
Al-Sultan Abdullah made the remarks after officiating the launch of Residensi D’Marina and witnessing the signing of an agreement between Citaglobal Telecommunication Sdn Bhd and PR1MA Communications Sdn Bhd in Kuantan on Saturday.
The ceremony was also attended by Pahang Investment, Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairman Datuk Mohamad Nizar Najib and Citaglobal Bhd executive chairman and president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria.
His Royal Highness also expressed optimism that more Kuala Lumpur residents would consider purchasing homes outside the capital, particularly in Kuantan and Bentong, where property prices are relatively more affordable and the quality of life continues to improve.
He added that the upcoming East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) is expected to spur new housing developments and economic growth along its route.
Residensi D’Marina, the newly launched project, is a joint development between Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) as the landowner and Citaglobal Property as the developer. Strategically located, it is connected via the Tanjung Lumpur Bridge and Putra Bridge, providing convenient access to key areas in Kuantan.
As part of Citaglobal’s commitment to sustainability, all homes under D’Marina Phase 2B are designed to be solar-ready, enabling homeowners to install rooftop solar panels with ease and potentially reduce electricity costs by up to 60 per cent.
The Sultan’s decree underscores the importance of responsible urban development, ensuring that future housing projects in Pahang not only meet structural and design standards but also promote energy efficiency and modern living.
