Pondok Tanjung: The government today launched the MADANI Dairy Entrepreneurs Carnival in Pondok Tanjung, bringing together industry players, government agencies, and the local community to strengthen Malaysia’s dairy sector.

Speaking at the event, a government leader highlighted that Malaysia is fortunate not only to be rich in natural resources but also to enjoy close ties with regional partners, especially ASEAN, which opens up broad opportunities for cooperation in areas such as agriculture and dairy production.

“The success of this sector is driven by the readiness of the private sector, the resilience of local entrepreneurs, and the integration of modern technology, including artificial intelligence (AI). This approach boosts productivity, strengthens the dairy industry’s value chain, and drives agricultural innovation,” he said.

Through the Ekonomi MADANI framework, the government, in collaboration with the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) and the private sector, aims to expand regional economic opportunities, create more jobs, empower local entrepreneurs, and ensure the benefits of development reach the people.

As part of an immediate commitment, the government also announced an allocation of RM1 million for urgent infrastructure works in the Larut, Matang, and Selama districts.
