KUALA LUMPUR – The Federal Territories Foundation (YWP), in collaboration with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), has distributed RM70,300 to recipients under two welfare schemes.

Of the total, RM55,300 was channelled to 79 students pursuing further studies under the Higher Education Entrance Aid Scheme (IPTA & IPTS), while RM15,000 was allocated to 15 families under the Death Benefit Scheme.

Since its introduction in 2014, the Higher Education Entrance Aid Scheme has benefited over 5,291 students with contributions exceeding RM3.4 million across Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.

YWP expressed its appreciation to DBKL, corporate partners, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and individual donors for their continuous support in strengthening communities through education and welfare initiatives.

“This initiative reflects YWP’s commitment to ensuring that funds are distributed transparently to those who truly need them,” said YWP chief executive officer Dr Abdul Basir V. Kunhimohamed.
