KUALA LUMPUR – Puteri UMNO Malaysia has expressed solidarity with UMNO Youth Chief Datuk Dr Akmal Salleh, who is set to be charged this Friday at 8am at the Bukit Mertajam Court Complex in Penang.
Its chief, Datuk Nurul Amal Mohd Fauzi, acknowledged that the struggle to uphold religion, race, and the nation has never been easy, noting that every challenge faced by party leaders must serve as guidance and experience for the younger generation.
“Pemuda and Puteri are the faces of the youth in the party. Whatever we do, our intentions are always for the party we love, the religion we uphold, and the dignity of the nation we defend,” she said in a statement today.
She emphasised that Puteri UMNO respects the country’s laws and hopes for a fair outcome in Dr Akmal’s case.
Nurul Amal further called on party members, especially the younger generation, to remain strong in carrying the torch of victory, particularly in preparation for the next general election.
“As we celebrate the month of independence, let us embrace its true meaning by rejecting division, fostering harmony, and honouring the sacrifices of our national heroes with hearts filled with peace, unity, and love as Malaysians,” she added.
