President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Saturday that Türkiye is engaged in comprehensive diplomatic efforts to restore a ceasefire and put an end to the atrocities in Gaza.
Erdogan stated at an iftar dinner in Istanbul that none of those who educate the world about human rights and freedoms have responded to “the vile killing of babies in their cradle” in Gaza.

Since Tuesday, over 700 Palestinians have lost their lives, and more than 1,000 others have been injured due to an unexpected aerial campaign by Israel on Gaza, breaking a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January.

Almost 50,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, predominantly women and children, and over 112,000 have been injured due to a severe Israeli military offensive in Gaza since October 2023.

In November of last year, the International Criminal Court released arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also confronting a genocide case at the International Court of Justice regarding its actions in the enclave.
