Tropicana Corp unveils key tenants for SouthPlace Shoppes & Residences at Tropicana Metropark, Subang Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR: Tropicana Corp Bhd (KL:TROP), a real estate developer, announced on Tuesday that six major clients have signed up for its SouthPlace Shoppes & Residences project. Anytime Fitness, Health Lane Family Pharmacy, MyNEWS (KL:MYNEWS), Swimology, and Hattitude Salon are the six main tenants.

Mercato is the anchor tenant. The 69-unit SouthPlace Shoppes is the first business hub in Tropicana Metropark, an 88-acre freehold township in Subang Jaya, according to the Edge report. Its gross development value (GDV) is about RM142 million. The job is about 95% done and is supposed to be finished this month. After the new tenants move in, Tropicana Corp Bhd’s managing director of marketing and sales, Ixora Ang, said, “SouthPlace Shoppes will be the new heart of Tropicana Metropark, bringing more life to the Subang community.

” She said this in her opening speech at the Tropicana Metropark Sales Gallery. According to Ang, the developer really wants this store part to do well. “That’s why we’re also offering our professional property management services to our buyers to help them find renters,”

she said. Ang said that the buyers are looking forward to getting their hands on SouthPlace Residences, a 656-unit managed residence, this quarter (3Q2024). Ang said that other projects are in the works and will be revealed at a later date. These include part 2 of the project, SSouthPlace 2 Shoppes & Residences, which has a 45% take-up rate for the retail component and a mix of tenants.
