Traffic on several major highways tonight is reportedly smooth and under control. However, traffic movement is slow heading south and toward the East Coast due to an increase in the number of vehicles.

A spokesperson from the Malaysian Highway Authority informed Bernama that, as of 11:15 p.m., due to increased traffic volume, vehicles are moving slowly on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway from Gombak to Genting Sempah (KM24.5-KM36.9), Bukit Tinggi (KM44.2-KM45.3), and Lentang (KM50.0-KM52.4).

Meanwhile, in the southern direction, traffic is reported to be slow at the Johor Causeway from the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex at Woodlands in Singapore heading toward the CIQ Sultan Iskandar Building in Johor, due to the high number of vehicles entering Johor Bahru from Singapore.

Vehicle movement is also reported to be slow on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) E2 northbound, particularly at the Simpang Renggam lay-by heading toward Machap.

“Overall, traffic flow on all toll highways, including the North-South Expressway, PLUS E1 and E2 in the northern, central, and southern regions, remains smooth and under control. The same situation applies to all toll highways around the Klang Valley,” he said.
