The PM leads the list of recipients of the Sultan of Kedah medal

ALOR SETAR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim topped the list of 238 recipients of degrees, stars and medals of honor in conjunction with the 82nd Birthday of the Sultan of Kedah here today.

Berita Harian reported that the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance was the sole recipient of the Most Honorable Seri Setia Sultan Sallehuddin of Kedah (SSSK) which carries the title of Datuk Seri Royal.

The Commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman received the Datuk Seri Setia Pahlawan Yang Amat Dihormat (SSPK) which carries the title of Datuk Seri Pahlawan.

A total of three recipients of the Kedah Hero of the Crown (DGWK) who carry the title of Datuk Wira are the Kedah Finance Officer, Datuk Syed Khairol Anuar Syed Abidin; Commander of the Army, General Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan and Director General of Health, Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan.

The Darjah Dato’ Setia Sultan Sallehuddin Kedah (DSSS) which carries the title of Datuk was awarded to three recipients namely State Government Assembly Member, Mohd Azam Abd Samat; Chief Executive Officer of AFK Group, Tan Sri Dr Azmil Khalili Khalid and Colonel (Retd) Datuk Mohd Aros Othman.

Nine recipients were awarded the title of Dato’ Setia Diraja Kedah (DSDK) which carries the title of Datuk, namely Kota Setar District Officer, Hakim Ariff Md Noor; Deputy Secretary of the Kedah State Government, Dr Nadzman Mustaffa; Secretary General of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Natural Sustainability, Datuk Dr Ching Thoo A/L Kim and Vice Chancellor of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Prof Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan.

Also receiving DSDK are UUM Board of Directors Member, Mohd Zuhri Abdullah; Medical Director of Abdul Razak Ophthalmologist Clinic, Dr Abdul Razak KV Koyakutty; Chairman of the Kedah Pondok Teacher Council (HESA), Abdullah Lebai Samah; Director of Yiked Bina, Mohd Azam Saad and President of Kedah Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ang Saik Cheong.

The Darjah Dato’ Setia Pahlawan (DDSP) which carries the title of Datuk was awarded to the Director General, Department of Veterans Affairs ATM, Maj Gen Zambery@Jefry Darus; Assistant Chief of Defense Logistics Staff of ATM Headquarters, Maj Gen Abdul Aziz Abu Hassan.

Also receiving the DDSP were the Commander of the Sixth Infantry Brigade, Brig Gen Saipol Anuar Jaafar and Kedah Police Chief, Datuk Fisol Salleh.

A total of 13 recipients received Setia Diraja Kedah (SDK), including Padang Terap District Officer, Azmin Zainol Abidin; Pokok Sena District Officer, Mohamad Rizal Mohamad Radzi; Director of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB), Dr Fauziah Abdul Wahab; Higher Education Ministry Division Secretary, Datin Noorazah Omar and Kedah Deputy Health Director, Dr Norizan Ahmad.

Also receiving the SDK were HSB’s Senior Pediatric Consultant, Dr Thiyagar A/L Nadarajaw; Senior Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital, Dr Sushilanathan A/L K Kathirgamanathan; Chief Assistant Director of Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department, SAC Ahmad Shukri Mat Akhir.

The SDK award was also given to the General Manager of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Kedah, Wan Ishak Soed; Honorary Secretary of the Kedah State Welfare Council (MKNK), Faridah Ahmad; Heera Trading & Management Consultancy Consultant, Left Col (B) Heera Singh A/L Tara Singh; Secretary of the Kedah Chinese Assembly, Pang Hu Kong and General Manager of Fox Custom Tailor, Chau Tai Chuon.
