TH Implements 75% of RCI Recommendations, Committed to Strengthen Governance

KUALA LUMPUR: The Pilgrims Fund Board (TH) has implemented 75 per cent of the Royal Commission of Inquiry’s (RCI) recommendations to enhance the governance and well-being of the institution, with the remaining recommendations currently in the process of implementation.
TH in a statement also welcomed the government’s decision to make the RCI report public and affirmed its commitment to implementing the recommendations put forward to strengthen the institution’s governance.
According to the statement, the institution has also succeeded in restoring its balance sheet position and building stronger reserves.
“These improvement efforts have also enabled TH to increase its profit distribution rate to 3.5 per cent, the highest in eight years.
“In addition, TH has also managed to maintain the Hajj cost at RM33,300 per person for three consecutive years,” according to the statement.
TH emphasised that it will remain committed to protecting depositors’ interests, strengthening public trust and ensuring the institution continues to operate with full integrity and accountability.
