Saudi Health Ministry urges Umrah to get a meningitis vaccine
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health has stressed that people who want to do Umrah during Ramadan must get the meningitis vaccine. The Saudi Press Agency said on Monday that it is part of steps to improve health precautions and stop the spread of infectious diseases.
The government stressed how important it is to get vaccinated at least 10 days before going on Umrah to make sure you have the right level of immunity. It said that people who have been vaccinated in the past five years don’t need a booster shot because the vaccine is still useful after that time.
The ministry also told people to use the Sehhaty app to schedule an appointment to get the vaccine at adult vaccination centers. They stressed how important it was to follow safety precautions to have a safe and healthy Umrah.
The directive fits with the ministry’s goals to improve health knowledge, protect the health of Umrah performers, and create an integrated healthcare system that makes life better and healthcare better.
