Puteri Sarah reflects on ex-husband’s divorce: “It’s Their Destiny”
KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Puteri Sarah Liyana remarked, “This is the destiny that has been written for them,” in response to her ex-husband Syamsul Yusof’s recent divorce from Ira Kazar, which came after just over a year of marriage.
Speaking to Harian Metro, Puteri Sarah declined to comment on the difficulties faced by others. “Syamsul and I no longer have any personal connections; we only address matters concerning our children. I have nothing to say about what happened today and do not wish to contribute to anyone’s distress,” she stated.
When asked about the possibility of reconciling with her ex-husband, Puteri Sarah emphasized her focus on her children. “I am content with my life now. Alhamdulillah. My priority is to provide for my children and raise them as best as I can,” she added.
Earlier, the Kuala Selangor Lower Syariah Court confirmed that Syamsul Yusof had violated taklik conditions five times since August 14. Syarie Judge Mohd Faizal Habis verified this after reviewing the documents submitted by Ira Kazar on August 21.
Syamsul and Puteri Sarah were married on March 8, 2014, and have two children, Syaikhul Islam, 6, and Sumayyah, 4. They divorced on June 14 last year.
