PM will announce good news related to food items today, said the minister

KUALA LUMPUR: A piece of good news for the people related to food items will be announce by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, today.

Berita Harian reported that the Spokesman for the Unity Government and Communications Minister, Fahmi Fadzil, however, refused to reveal further details about the announcement that will be made by Anwar, who is also the Minister of Finance.

“There is good news from the Prime Minister. Nothing more than that. We are waiting for the Prime Minister.

“It shows that when we have good cooperation from the industry sector and there is an understanding that our intention is for the people, we are able to make an announcement like the one the Prime Minister will announce today,” he said.

He told reporters this at the Opening Ceremony of Mydin Mart Pantai Dalam and Handover of Aidiladha Donations.

Also present was the Managing Director of Mydin, Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin.

Commenting further, Fahmi, who is also a Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai, said the Unity Government led by Anwar will not only be kind to the people, but also solve the issues at hand.

“What we are trying to correct is a weakness in the system that has been taken advantage of for too long by groups that should not be taking advantage.

“God willing, what will be done is not for us to focus only on today, but the future will be better,” he said
