PUTRAJAYA, Dec 16 : Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has retained several existing ministers in the MADANI Government Cabinet as part of the latest reshuffle, citing the need for continuity and a strong, cohesive team to drive economic growth and address public concerns.
In a statement today, Anwar said maintaining experienced leaders in key portfolios would ensure policy consistency and enable the government to remain focused on strengthening the economy while improving the well-being of the people.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi continues in his role, alongside ministers overseeing strategic sectors, including rural and regional development as well as energy transition and water transformation.
Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan remains in his post, while Datuk Fahmi Fadzil is retained as Minister of Communications, continuing to lead the ministry together with Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching.
Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said also remains as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform), assisted by Deputy Minister M. Kulasegaran.
The Transport Ministry portfolio continues under Anthony Loke, supported by Deputy Ministers Datuk Hasbi Habibulloh and Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, who retains his role as Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.

Anwar said the retained lineup reflects the government’s commitment to stability, effective governance, and sustained reforms under the MADANI framework, as Malaysia navigates economic challenges and works towards inclusive growth.
