PAS encourages Amanah, PKR, Umno to participate in a demonstration against Hannah, Nga
PAS Youth has urged colleagues in Umno, PKR, and Amanah to participate in a Friday demonstration against “certain parties threatening the harmony of Malaysian Muslims.”.
Following Friday prayers, PAS Youth Deputy Chief Hafez Sabri claimed the “Himpunan Bangkit Ummah” demonstration will occur outside the Masjid Jamek mosque in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur.
Declaring that they will also be opposing top DAP officials, Hannah Yeoh and Nga Kor Ming, Hafez claimed the march transcended political boundaries and was meant to safeguard Muslim rights.
“We greet all entities.” This is a problem for Muslims; it is not a political one. During a news conference at the PAS headquarters, he added that everyone has the right to express their opinions and protest.
The ally of PAS, Bersatu, has reported several times against Yeoh, the young sports minister, claiming she is trying to convert Muslims and transform Malaysia into a Christian country.
Following the dismissal of a statement he produced, Yeoh filed a defamation lawsuit against former police inspector-general Musa Hassan.
Allegedly, he had accused Yeoh of authoring her book “Becoming Hannah: A Personal Journey” to transform Malaysia into a Christian nation, eradicate Islam and the nation, and prioritise her own needs over those of the nation.
Conversely, PAS blasted Nga for a Christmas gathering at his house and local government ministry, involving some Muslim employees.
A ministry source said, however, that the carollers who participated at the event were Christians from East Malaysia while the songs were secular in character and that they did not compel any of their employees to attend the event.
