SEREMBAN: The Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly (DUN) will not be allowed to dissolve, with efforts being made to ensure its sitting proceeds according to the planned schedule, said Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim.

He said all preparations for the tabling of the Negeri Sembilan State Budget had been finalised, and the state government was now only awaiting confirmation of the official date for the assembly sitting.

“As far as the budget is concerned, all preparations have been completed. We have also finalised the budget and are only waiting for the date to convene the State Legislative Assembly.

“We will do our best to proceed according to schedule. There is no question of the State Assembly being dissolved. God willing, as the head of the state government, I will not allow the State Assembly to dissolve,” he told reporters after attending a Deepavali Open House hosted by Special Adviser on Indian Community Affairs Datuk VS Mogan here today.

He was responding to questions about the state government’s preparations for the upcoming State Legislative Assembly sitting.

Previously, the state government had planned to convene the State Legislative Assembly on November 26, followed by the tabling of the 2027 State Budget on November 27.
