Mom of Zayn Rayyan showed up to the suspected crime scene
PETALING JAYA: Presumably for a reenactment, the mother of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, who was killed in December of last year, was brought to her home at the Idaman Apartment in Damansara Damai.
In order to help with the investigations, Zayn Rayyan’s parents are presently serving a six-day extension of remand.
It is thought that the visit is intended to act out the events leading up to Zayn Rayyan’s disappearance and the discovery of his body on December 6.
To help with the police investigation into the murder, the couple was first placed under detention for seven days on June 1. This was done in accordance with Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Six-year-old autistic Zayn Rayyan was reported missing in Damansara Damai on December 5. The following day, his body was discovered next to a stream 200 metres from his residence at the Idaman Apartment complex.
Following a post-mortem, it was determined that he had died due to injuries to his neck and body.
According to Bernama, yesterday at 10.15 a.m., a van delivered the victim’s mother to her home in Blok R, and it departed at around 12:20 p.m.
She was returned to the home and the spot where the kid had been discovered, which was a river drainage around 200 metres from the family’s apartment block.
A kid-sized toy was also observed being carried by police personnel.
The media was told to remain in a hut as a police crew erected two roadblocks heading to Blok R of the apartment complex as early as 10 a.m. Every resident’s movement was accompanied by police officials.
An investigation team from the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Selangor contingent police headquarters, along with investigative officers from the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters, were also observed entering the residential area in a vehicle driven by the department’s director, Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain.
A number of police and forensic vehicles were observed departing the residential area at 2:30 pm, and yellow tape had been erected at the scene’s entrance.
