Maszlee Votes In Machap, Did Not Have Time To Switch To Puteri Wangsa
KLUANG: Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Puteri Wangsa State Legislative Assembly, Dr. Maszlee Malik, fulfilled his responsibility by voting in the Johor State Election today at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Tuan Poon, Machap here today.
The Vice Chairman of the Johor PKR State Leadership Council said he is still voting in the Machap state constituency because he did not have time to change his voting district.
“I am still voting in the Machap state constituency because I did not have time to change my voting area before the election took place. Alhamdulillah, the voting process in the Machap state constituency has been running smoothly so far.
“I hope voters, especially the youth, will take the opportunity to exercise their right to choose future leaders,” he said when met by reporters after completing his voting.
He arrived at the polling centre at 8.52 am before completing his responsibility as a voter six minutes later.
Maszlee added that after finishing voting, he would go to the Puteri Wangsa state constituency to observe the situation and the voting process there.
He said the voter turnout early this morning showed a positive development and expressed hope that more people would come out to vote.
“After this, I will go to Puteri Wangsa to observe the situation there.
“Based on information received, approximately 60 voters had turned up after 8 am,” he said.
