SHAH ALAM (Nov 12): A man was arrested in Pandamaran, Klang, after he allegedly threatened and provoked a High Court bailiff and police officers who were carrying out official duties on Tuesday afternoon.

According to North Klang OCPD Asst Comm Ramli Kasa, the incident occurred at about 3.30pm when a team of police personnel accompanied a Shah Alam High Court bailiff to serve a writ of summons at a residence.

“During the process, a man emerged from the house and began acting aggressively. He allegedly smashed a glass bottle and issued threats towards the bailiff and the police officers present,” Ramli said in a statement issued late Tuesday.

The man was immediately arrested for obstructing civil servants from performing their duties and for making criminal threats.

Police have opened an investigation and are recording witness statements to determine the motive behind the confrontation.

Ramli also reminded the public to cooperate with law enforcement officers and comply with court orders, warning that any act of obstruction or intimidation against officials performing their duties will result in stern legal action.
