Malaysia’s Strength Lies Beyond Economy Emphasizes Education and Healthcare as Pillars of National Progress:PM Anwar
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 6: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has underscored that a nation’s true greatness is not solely measured by economic growth but also by the strength of its education and healthcare systems.

Speaking at the launch of IJN University College, the Prime Minister said that a great nation must be knowledgeable, compassionate, and humane, ensuring that every citizen, regardless of background, has access to quality education and healthcare.
“A nation’s excellence is not only seen in its economy, but in how it upholds knowledge, empathy, and human dignity,” he said. “No one should be left behind in the pursuit of education or medical care.”
Anwar emphasized that the government continues to place education and healthcare as two core pillars in the national budget, forming the foundation of Malaysia’s long-term reform and development agenda.

Touching on the role of IJN University College, he said it represents an ideal synergy between Malaysia’s education and medical expertise, one that will nurture a new generation of healthcare professionals who excel academically and embody empathy and compassion in their service to the people.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that such institutions will not only strengthen Malaysia’s healthcare ecosystem but also enhance the country’s global reputation as a center of medical and academic excellence.
