Madani Rakyat program opens in Pahang, traffic fine discount up to 50 percent

KUANTAN: The MADANI Rakyat 2024 East Zone program opened today at Dataran Sayangi Kuantan here with various interesting events and programs offered to visitors throughout the three days it lasted.

Bernama reports, promising ‘maximum satisfaction’, like the previous series the focus is definitely on the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) traffic summons payment counter which offers up to 50 percent discount.

Not only that, many other benefits are provided to visitors including 3,000 helmets for free, MADANI Sale with up to 30 percent discount, security agency asset exhibition, career carnival, health screening including dental treatment and cancer screening.

Targeting more than 300,000 visitors, the program once featured 162 Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) entrepreneurs including Orang Asli craft products, attractive travel packages, lucky draws and concerts by popular local artists.

For today, the focus is definitely on the ‘Moh Rodong Naik Tren’ program by the Ministry of Local Government Housing, followed by the Agola Lego Competition, the Children’s Coloring Competition and the Kompang Formation Competition by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development on the main stage.

Wisma Putra’s ‘Pocket Talk’ program

Meanwhile, Wisma Putra’s ‘Pocket Talk’ program with the title ‘Ada Apa dengan ASEAN’ was held on the reruai stage; followed by a tourism quiz and a domestic tourism package prize by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture; Kahoot Trivia ‘Our Way, Our Responsibility’ by the Ministry of Public Works as well as Unity Dance, Unity Puzzle and Unity Quiz by the Ministry of Unity.

In the evening, the People’s MADANI Program was graced with the Perdana Forum with the title ‘Hijrah builds a MADANI Society’ featuring speakers Deputy Mufti Pahang Datuk Badli Shah Alaudin, Prof Dr Sharifah Hayaati Syed Ismail and Ustaz Harryanto Rizal on the main stage.

To ensure smooth traffic, the state government also provides free shuttle buses every 15 minutes at Darul Makmur Stadium, Kuantan City Mall, East Coast Mall, Sultan Ahmad I Mosque, Menara 188, Kuantan Esplanade, Kuantan Inland Revenue Board, Kuantan Parade and Bukit Ubi Street.

The East Zone People’s MADANI Program is a continuation of the MADANI One-Year Program with the Government, which has been extended to the state level by zone to give the community the opportunity to understand, see and evaluate new policies and initiatives implemented by the Federal Government in improving the well-being of the people.

Organized by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) through the Performance Surge Coordination Unit (PACU), this program also received strategic cooperation from KKDW and the Pahang government.
