KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with the second term school holidays and the public holidays for Malaysia Day and Maulidur Rasul, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will provide two additional Electric Train Service (ETS) trains for the KL Sentral to Padang Besar route and vice versa.

According to Bernama, KTMB announced today that these additional train services will operate from September 13 to 22 to meet the increased passenger demand during the holiday season, helping to alleviate traffic congestion for those traveling back to their hometowns.

The statement added that KTMB will offer 630 tickets per day, starting from this Friday (September 6) at 10 AM, totaling 6,300 tickets, which include business class coaches.

“The additional ETS trains on the Padang Besar-KL Sentral route will depart at 11:05 AM and arrive at 4:30 PM, while the KL Sentral-Padang Besar trains will depart at 5:00 PM and arrive at 10:20 PM,” the statement said.

KTMB also advised the public to purchase tickets through the KTMB Mobile (KITS) app, available for download from the Play Store, App Store, and App Gallery, or through the official KTMB website.
