KLIA Ekspres, Transit Fares to Rise by RM10 from Jan 1, 2027

PETALING JAYA: The one-way adult fare for KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit journeys between KL Sentral and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) will increase by RM10, from RM55 to RM65, beginning Jan 1, 2027.

Operator Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) said fares for other sectors will also be adjusted.

According to ERL, the adjustment comes 11 years after the last fare increase in 2016, following a significant rise in operating and maintenance costs, in accordance with its concession agreement with the government.

ERL Chief Executive Officer Datin Noormah Mohd Noor said the adjustment takes into account the costs of operating and maintaining the services while ensuring their long-term sustainability.

“This fare adjustment will support our efforts to maintain high service standards and invest in improvements to enhance the passenger experience,” she said in a statement today.

She said ERL remains committed to providing the fastest and most reliable connection between KL Sentral and KLIA.

“At the same time, ERL is working with several partners to offer exclusive ticket discounts of up to 30 per cent starting January next year.

“However, details of the discount offers will only be announced once the relevant arrangements have been finalised,” she said.

ERL, which began operations 24 years ago, operates the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services between the city centre and KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
