Israeli assaults on hundreds of residential houses in northern Gaza killed around 40 Palestinians
The Government Media Office of the Gaza Strip reports that over 40 Palestinians, including numerous women and children, have lost their lives due to Israeli assaults on hundreds of residential structures in the northern region of the coastal enclave.
The office reported in a statement on Saturday that the fatalities transpired within a mere 48-hour period.
According to reports, the Israeli military used munitions banned by international law from aircraft and armored vehicles to conduct airstrikes and destroy 254 residential buildings at the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in northern Gaza.

The statement indicated that they strategically positioned explosive barrels within residential areas and detonated them via remote control.
“The occupation employed missiles of considerable destructive capability against residential structures,” the office stated, emphasizing that the projectiles, “predominantly encased in asbestos and zinc sheets,” transformed the targets “into debris in an unfathomable humanitarian catastrophe.”
“We denounce the deliberate and systematic violations of human rights perpetrated by the Israeli occupation, which specifically target civilians, including children and women, in acts that can be characterized as mass murder and genocide.”
The office unequivocally condemned the regime’s allies, namely the United States, the UK, Germany, and France, characterizing them as nations that are “complicit in the ongoing genocide,” thereby attributing full responsibility for the perpetuation of the regime’s atrocities to them.
The latest casualties of the ongoing aggression include over 43,300 Palestinians, who have lost their lives due to the regime’s genocidal campaign against Gaza that commenced in October 2023. The majority of the victims are women and children.
“We urge the global community and all relevant international bodies to apply substantial pressure on the Israeli occupation to cease its violations of human rights and to bring an end to the devastating conflict affecting vulnerable civilians in the Gaza Strip,” the statement concluded.
