IRGC launches a new wave of retaliatory missile strikes on US bases across region

TEHRAN: Iran has declared that its retaliatory military operations against United States and Israeli interests in the region will persist without pause, a senior Iranian commander said on Saturday amid heightened tensions across the Middle East.

Major General Ali Abdollahi, head of Iran’s Khatam al‑Anbiya Central Headquarters, announced that Iranian forces struck multiple positions in what Tehran described as a response to what it called “aggression” by the US and Israel. He vowed that the campaign would continue “without any interruption until complete defeat of the enemy,” stressing that all US military installations, resources, and interests across West Asia are considered legitimate targets for Iran’s armed forces.

Abdollahi’s remarks follow a series of drone and missile strikes claimed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps against strategic sites in territories occupied by Israel and at several regional US bases, including in countries such as Bahrain and Qatar, according to Iranian state media.

In his address, the senior commander appealed for national calm and pledged that Iran’s armed forces would resolutely protect the country’s sovereignty, citizens, and strategic interests. Tehran’s statements come amid rapidly escalating hostilities after joint US‑Israeli military actions against Iranian targets that have drawn global reactions and diplomatic concern.

The unfolding situation continues to raise international alarm over a possible broader conflict in the region, with calls from global powers for restraint and diplomatic engagement even as Tehran signals its readiness to sustain its military response.
