Iran Launches 10th Phase of “Operation True Promise III” with Major Missile and Drone Offensive
Tehran: Iran has launched the 10th phase of its large-scale military campaign, Operation True Promise III, targeting Israeli military sites with a barrage of missiles and drones in what Tehran describes as a “retaliatory strike” against recent Israeli actions.
According to Iranian military sources, the latest wave began at approximately 7:10 p.m. local time on Tuesday and marks the continuation of a coordinated and sustained military operation that began on June 13. Iranian authorities claim the attacks are in direct response to the targeted assassinations of high-ranking Iranian military officials, nuclear scientists, and several civilians, including women and children.
The 10th phase of the operation, conducted under the codename “Ya Ali ibn Abi Talib,” reportedly focused on Israeli air force bases—believed to be the launch points for airstrikes against Iranian territory. The Iranian Armed Forces state that this wave involved launches from multiple regions within Iran, with both ballistic missiles and long-range drones deployed toward the occupied territories.
Tehran reports that the impact from the latest strike came less than 24 hours after a significant wave of ballistic missiles and drones struck Israeli positions across various sectors. These continued offensives are said to have inflicted heavy damage on key Israeli infrastructure, prompting the Israeli government to ban live aerial feeds of the attacks in an attempt to contain public panic and media coverage.
In a separate statement earlier Tuesday, Iran’s integrated air defense network announced it had successfully identified and intercepted 28 types of hostile aircraft within the last 24 hours. Among them was a Hermes spy drone, which was allegedly shot down with precision targeting while attempting to surveil sensitive Iranian installations.
Iran’s ongoing Operation True Promise III underscores a dramatic escalation in the region’s tensions, with Tehran signaling that the campaign will persist in phases until what it deems as “justice and deterrence” is achieved.
Israeli officials have yet to release an official statement on the latest developments.
