KUALA LUMPUR: The Madani government will continue to elevate the status of huffaz to ensure they are not left behind in employment and life, particularly through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

According to the Wilayahku portal, he made this statement after attending the gathering of 24,000 huffaz in Malaysia at the Federal Territory Mosque, Kuala Lumpur, last night with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The event was organized by the National Association of Tahfiz Al-Quran Institutions (PINTA).

“I have also launched the Malaysia Tahfiz Certificate 2.0 (STM 2.0), an improvement to the integrated assessment system for recognizing those who have memorized 30 juz of the Quran.

“I hope STM 2.0 will open up greater opportunities for huffaz to advance their education in line with the demands of changing times,” he said on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Anwar hopes that huffaz will continue to pray for the country’s prosperity in facing various challenges for the benefit of the people.

“Huffaz should use their knowledge and memorization skills to convey Islam’s message as a religion of mercy, advocate for truth and justice, and foster unity,” he added.
