First government school in the Kingdom specializing in technology: Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan
Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan opened the Technological High School for Gifted Boys at Tuwaiq Academy, the first government institution in the Kingdom focused on technology.
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tuwaiq Academy Faisal bin Saud Al-Khamisi, and some luminaries in education and technology attended the ceremony.

The opening of the institution marks a trailblazing worldwide concept meant to equip students with technology skills and capacities, enabling them to create and innovate original initiatives. Preparing students for local and global technological specialisations, the school also emphasises study and scientific research. This program seeks to raise the Kingdom’s technological education standards, equip a generation that keeps up with future developments, and represent Saudi Arabia in regional and worldwide events and exhibitions.
The two ministers visited the academy’s premises, where they spoke with students and examined many boot camps, programs, and events, learning about the educational process and the successes of the institution.

Programming, cybersecurity, digital manufacturing, data science, and other new technologies are among the several specialised technology courses the institution provides. Along with their personal and academic skills, it offers a range of initiatives to improve student performance in aptitude and accomplishment assessments. Within a challenging and competitive setting, the school also incorporates extracurricular technical programs, creative curricula, and initiatives supporting invention and scientific research.
