Federal Territory’s achievement at Sukma 2024 is very proud, says Zaliha
KUALA LUMPUR: The achievement of the Federal Territory, which won 75 gold medals and exceeded the target of 70 gold medals at the Malaysia Games (Sukma) 2024, is highly commendable, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territory) Dr. Zaliha Mustafa.
She stated that the Federal Territory provided strong competition to all state teams at Sukma, which has been ongoing since August 17.
“Overall, the Federal Territory has amassed 212 medals from 408 events participated in, making us the highest medal collector in this edition of Sukma.
“This is an achievement that we all should be proud of,” she said on Facebook.
She extended her congratulations to all athletes, coaches, officials, and the entire Federal Territory contingent.
“Congratulations also to the host of Sukma, Sarawak, for winning the overall champion title this year.
“As for the Federal Territory, as mentioned by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the Sukma closing, we are not far behind. We are the runners-up,” she said.
