Allegations of Dajjal: UMNO youth to file police report against Hadi

KUALA LUMPUR: The UMNO Youth Movement will file a police report against PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang after he accused UMNO of being like the Dajjal.

UMNO Youth Malaysia’s Legal Bureau Chairman, Aizat Azam, stated that the allegations were intended to mislead the public and were defamatory.

He hopes the authorities will investigate Hadi under the Penal Code and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Act.

“Such defamatory and irresponsible statements accusing UMNO of using money politics and comparing UMNO to the Dajjal should not be ignored.

“As a religiously educated individual, PAS President should reflect on himself before linking UMNO to the Dajjal,” he said in a statement.

Aizat expressed his shock at Hadi’s article titled “UMNO-PH’s Preference for Lies and Materialism.”

He noted that Hadi repeatedly claimed UMNO used money politics to bribe the public and that such actions are akin to the Dajjal.

“President of PAS, do not forget that the Kemaman by-election last December occurred because the Election Court ruled that PAS’s victory in Kemaman during the 15th General Election was invalid due to materialistic politics used by PAS during their campaign.

“President of PAS, shouldn’t we use politics to unite Malays and Muslims?

“How can we achieve unity if there are such accusations against UMNO, which shares the same religion and ethnicity as PAS?” he said.

According to Aizat, Malaysia is a country that upholds the rule of law as its foundation.

He stated that writings like Hadi’s should not be allowed to go unchallenged.

“If the PAS President is unhappy with the defeat in the Nenggiri by-election, he should use the available legal channels, not make claims that UMNO is like the Dajjal,” he said.

In a Facebook post, Hadi alleged that UMNO, along with Pakatan Harapan (PH), continues to prioritize materialism as a primary agenda to establish and defend their government.

The Marang MP claimed that this approach is used as a weapon in a manner exceeding that of the Dajjal.
