Citizens are urged to depart the country immediately by the Saudi embassy in Lebanon

In a statement released on Saturday, the Saudi Press Agency claimed that the Saudi Embassy in Lebanon was keeping a careful eye on the unfolding events in southern Lebanon.

It reaffirmed its earlier warning to Saudi nationals to stay away from Lebanon and encouraged those already there to evacuate the country quickly.

The embassy has instructed its citizens to contact it immediately in case of an emergency.

On Saturday, Iran issued a similar warning, stating that if Israel were to invade Lebanon, “all Resistance Fronts,” which includes Iran and its regional allies, will combat Israel.

Concerns about a potential regional conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, a group sponsored by Iran in Lebanon, prompted the statement from Iran’s embassy in New York.

The war in Gaza started with almost daily exchanges of fire between the two sides.
