Car crashes with a lorry near Tebrau, killing the driver

JOHOR BAHRU: After his car collided with a trailer truck, a man lost his life.

Shamsul Komari Bakar, the chief of Tebrau Fire and Rescue station, reported that at 1:21 a.m. on Friday, May 31, they received an emergency call.

He released a statement saying, “The incident took place at the Eastern Dispersal Motorway (EDL) near the Pandan R&R area towards Bakar Batu.”

According to Shamsul, seven firefighters from the Tebrau station were dispatched to the scene.

According to him, the team managed to free the woman passenger and the car’s driver who were stuck inside.

He said paramedics declared the driver dead at the scene.

“The truck driver escaped unharmed, but the injured woman was taken to Hospital Sultan Aminah,” he said.
