As Long as Entrusted, AIM Will Not Be Forgotten – PM Anwar
PORT DICKSON: The Federal Government has given an assurance that it will continue to give special attention and increase assistance to Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) in upcoming budget presentations, as long as it is entrusted to lead the country’s administration.
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said close cooperation between the government and AIM is crucial in efforts to uplift the economic dignity of low-income groups and borrowers of the institution.
He said the support expected from the entire AIM community is not for his personal interest, but for the collective well-being and progress of the nation.
“As long as I, Insya-Allah, am entrusted to lead this government, I will not forget AIM’s role.
“In every budget, I will give attention, increase cooperation and assistance together with AIM.
“I hope the AIM community also remembers that there needs to be strong cooperation and support so that we can uplift our dignity together.
“That support is not for me, but for all of us, the AIM community and our beloved country,” he said in a speech at the Official Opening Ceremony of the MADANI Entrepreneur Friends Carnival of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, Negeri Sembilan, at Pantai Batu 1 here today.
Meanwhile, Anwar urged the people to ensure the formation of a strong state government that is aligned with the Federal Government administration, particularly in Negeri Sembilan, to facilitate the channelling of assistance to the people in a more orderly manner.
“Pray and give us the opportunity to continue serving well. Give the opportunity to a stable government that focuses on taking care of the people.
“Also give the opportunity so that the Negeri Sembilan government is strong so that it can cooperate with me at the Federal level more orderly. This will also make it easier for us to help the people together,” he said.
