Appoint Fuziah as PKR Secretary-General: Hope the party will excel, says Zaliha
KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, hopes that PKR will excel following the appointment of Fuziah Salleh as the party’s Secretary-General.
“Congratulations to my dear sibling, Senator Fuziah Salleh, on her appointment as PKR Secretary-General.
“Best of luck in your duties, and may the party achieve greater excellence,” she said on Facebook, according to the Wilayahku portal.
Yesterday, Fuziah, who is the Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, was appointed as the new PKR Secretary-General effective immediately, replacing Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
PKR Vice President Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad stated that Saifuddin Nasution, who is the Minister of Home Affairs, stepped down from the position to focus on his role as the Chief Secretary of Pakatan Harapan (PH), a member of the PKR Political Bureau, and a member of the Unity Government Leadership Consultative Council.
He said this change is part of a reorganization of several key positions decided by the Central Leadership Council (MPP) meeting yesterday, aimed at strengthening the party’s operations.
Additionally, Nik Nazmi mentioned that the MPP PKR has agreed to establish a Management Committee consisting of Vice President Nurul Izzah Anwar, Fuziah Salleh, Treasurer-General William Leong, Deputy Chief of Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Muhammad Kamil Munim, and Deputy Chief of Women Juwairiya Zulkifli, while Saifuddin has been appointed as an advisor.
