PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim held a one-on-one meeting with Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing at the Perdana Putra Complex here today.
The Prime Minister welcomed Min Aung Hlaing upon his arrival at the building at 9am, followed by an official welcoming ceremony.
Min Aung Hlaing is on a two-day official visit to Malaysia, which began yesterday (Wednesday), with the repatriation of Myanmar nationals in Malaysia among the key issues expected to be discussed with the Malaysian Prime Minister.
Following their one-on-one meeting, both leaders led their respective delegations in bilateral talks.

According to Wisma Putra, Myanmar remains an integral part of ASEAN, and as an ASEAN member state, Malaysia will continue supporting the regional bloc’s efforts towards peace and reconciliation while ensuring access to humanitarian assistance in Myanmar.
