Andalusia Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd has stepped in to help 150 pilgrims who were victims of a recent Umrah fraud by offering them an opportunity to perform their pilgrimage.

Datuk Md Daud Che Ngah, Executive Chairman of Andalusia, stated that the company felt a strong obligation to assist the pilgrims, many of whom had been planning their sacred journey for years.

“We feel deeply for these prospective guests of Allah, who have been waiting for the opportunity to perform Umrah with their families,” Md Daud remarked.

As part of the support, Andalusia is offering a special package starting from RM6,215 per person, providing a 30% discount compared to the original price of approximately RM7,980.

The package includes travel from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah, with stops in Mecca and Taif, lasting 13 days.

Md Daud also highlighted the growing need for greater awareness about fraud in the Umrah and Hajj sectors.

“I have previously recommended that State Islamic Religious Departments organize Friday sermons at least two to three times a year to raise awareness about Umrah and Hajj fraud,” he said.

He hopes these steps will help protect the public from falling prey to fraud and encourage them to choose licensed and trustworthy travel agencies.

Earlier, over 300 Umrah pilgrims were left stranded in Kuala Lumpur after their flights were canceled by an untrustworthy tour operator.

This incident has raised concerns among potential pilgrims and underscored the importance of selecting legitimate, reliable travel agencies.

Thanks to Andalusia’s initiative, these stranded pilgrims are now expected to complete their Umrah journey smoothly and safely.
