Adira and Anggrek Emerge Champions of ‘Talk To My Manager’ Season 2

SHAH ALAM: Popular singer Adira Suhaimi and her eldest daughter, Anggrek Adenan, emerged as champions of the reality programme Talk To My Manager Season 2 (TTMM2) at the grand finale held at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Auditorium last night.

The victory saw the pair, who acted as manager and participant respectively, take home RM30,000 in cash, gold, accommodation packages, a single recording, and a trophy.

Adira said her participation in the programme was not to chase the champion title, but rather to give her nine-year-old daughter the opportunity to gain experience and exposure in the entertainment industry.

She said the competition concept, which assessed not only vocals but also performance aspects and the role of the manager, was the main factor in her agreeing to join the programme.

“Alhamdulillah, I never thought we would win, and I remained true to the original purpose of Anggrek learning and gaining exposure. All of this is unexpected blessings for Anggrek, and I am grateful to everyone who supported and gave comments throughout this competition,” she told reporters at a press conference after the final concert.

Adira described Anggrek as a resilient participant who always strives to give her best performance despite facing various challenges throughout the competition.

She said the selection of challenging songs was intended to test Anggrek’s abilities and build her daughter’s confidence.

“Many said the songs I chose were too difficult for her age, but I believe if we don’t challenge her, we won’t know how far her capabilities go. Anggrek is a strong child and always wants to try new things,” she said.

At the final concert, Anggrek performed the song Aku Stacy solo and performed a duet with Aisha Retno singing Sutera.

Second place went to Hussain together with his manager Jamilulhayat, who was a singer from the 1980s, while third place went to entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vida and her child Cik B.

Producer Datuk A Aida and her second child, Azeva, finished in fourth place, while Safura and Kim Khairii took fifth place.

Meanwhile, the Most Performant Manager award went to the pair Jamilulhayat and Hussain, while Adira and Anggrek also received the Eskayvie Love Inspiration Award along with RM10,000 in cash.
