KUALA LUMPUR: Adik Beradik Kuala Lumpur (ABKL) today marked a milestone in Malaysia’s digital and gaming landscape with the organisation of ABKL Experience 2025, a large-scale event introducing its comprehensive digital community and roleplay ecosystem to the public and media.

Held at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur from 10 am, the event made history as Malaysia’s first Expo and Pre-Tournament for GTAV FiveM, reflecting the growing maturity of the local roleplay and digital entertainment industry.

ABKL Chief Executive Officer Muzammil Mudzakir, also known as MelRomeo, said the event highlighted the development of Malaysia’s roleplay scene, covering server technology, gameplay systems, content creation, as well as career opportunities in the digital and e-sports sectors.

He said the tournament introduced a competitive roleplay concept, distinct from conventional e-sports formats, with creativity, strategy, teamwork and storytelling forming the core assessment criteria.

“This initiative introduces a new competitive format within the local gaming ecosystem and reflects the evolving nature of digital entertainment in Malaysia,” he said.

According to Muzammil, ABKL Experience 2025 brought together about 1,000 members of the ABKL community, including players, streamers, system developers, influencers and roleplay communities from across the country.

He added that the event also attracted participation and observation from industry players in neighbouring countries, positioning it as an event with regional impact.

Meanwhile, ABKL continued to strengthen its branding through the involvement of prominent icons and creative collaborators.

Former MotoGP rider Hafizh Syahrin and well-known e-sports influencer Daddyhood remain as official ABKL icons, with expanded roles as community representatives and facilitators of cross-industry collaboration.

In addition, rap group K-Clique members Somean and Gnello were introduced as creative collaborators and cultural icons, representing music, lifestyle and youth influence within the Adik Beradik Role Play (ABRP) ecosystem.

ABKL Chief Information Technology Officer Mohd Hilmi Azli, also known as Keiroy, said the icons were actively involved as players, streamers and contributors to ideas in the development of ABRP and community activities.

“Since their involvement, ABKL has recorded a notable increase in community engagement and mainstream acceptance, with player demographics expanding beyond gamers to include athletes, entertainment fans and social media audiences,” he said.

Hilmi said ABKL is now positioned not merely as a gaming server, but as a structured and competitive Malaysian digital community and creative content platform.

Looking ahead, ABKL Experience 2025 also served as a platform to outline the organisation’s roadmap for 2026, which includes expanding ABRP with new technologies and systems, organising regular physical and digital events, establishing strategic collaborations with brands and content creators, and developing a dedicated support platform for streamers through a special server known as ABShoot.

ABKL aims to elevate its brand as a regionally competitive digital community, while promoting roleplay and gaming as positive platforms for community building, talent development and digital economic opportunities.

In conjunction with the media session, the event also featured the AB Allstar Tournament and an Annual Dinner, attended by prominent streamers, athletes and public figures, including Rayyan.s, Malkodok, Fattah Zie, King Shah, KingYonny, Hafizh Syahrin, Haris Alif, Asyraf Rozaimi, Laming AI, Boyra AI, Kekanda AI, Master Ramen, Jaa Suzuran, Daddyhood and members of K-Clique.
