RIYADH, July 7 (Voice of Malaysia) – The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) has launched a specialized training program titled “Collection Management” at its headquarters in Riyadh as part of ongoing efforts to enhance regional cooperation and build member states’ capabilities in counterterrorism.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the five-day program began on Sunday and aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s broader mission of promoting integration and knowledge-sharing among coalition members in combating terrorism and extremism.
The training targets 25 participants from 14 member states, equipping them with both theoretical and practical expertise in intelligence collection, data analysis, and operational support for decision-makers involved in counterterrorism initiatives.
Supervised by a team of military and intelligence experts, the program includes workshops, simulations, and hands-on sessions to improve institutional readiness for addressing evolving security threats.
This initiative is one of more than 46 specialized training programs developed by the IMCTC. Other focus areas include ideological warfare, countering terrorism financing, military coordination, and strategic communication in the media.
The IMCTC, a Saudi-led alliance comprising over 40 Muslim-majority countries, was established to serve as a platform for collaboration and capacity-building in the global fight against terrorism, while respecting the sovereignty of its member states.
The “Collection Management” program underscores Saudi Arabia’s continued leadership in regional security efforts and its commitment to equipping allied nations with the skills and tools necessary to address complex security challenges in the modern era.
