Mosques under the supervision of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), namely the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur, as well as Putra Mosque and Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, will hold solat hajat (special prayers) and doa selamat (prayers for well-being) for the well-being of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim.

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr. Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, stated that the solat hajat and doa selamat will take place after Maghrib prayers today and will also be held in mosques and suraus under the administration of the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (JAWI).

“Muslims are invited to gather at these mosques or suraus to pray for His Majesty’s well-being, recovery, and good health,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Last Friday, Istana Negara announced via a statement posted on the Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar that His Majesty had traveled abroad for medical treatment.
