PM Anwar attributes the second 5G network failure to “negligence” and criticizes the delays in the implementation of MyDigital ID
Two national digital projects, MyDigital ID and the second 5G network, have disappointed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
While the second 5G network remains blocked due to the lack of positive response from Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) and telecommunication operators, he claimed that the launch of MyDigital ID is a year behind schedule.
“This has caused me to lose some patience,” he remarked at the monthly assembly of the Finance Ministry here today.
Anwar further mentioned that he had expressed his displeasure during the National Digital Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution Council (MED4IRN) conference yesterday.
He also cited the careless delays in both projects as a hindrance to the country’s efforts to achieve the digital transformation goal.
